Good Evening folks. So I was listening to some 80's records that my aunt on mothers side gave me. One was Talking Heads. Very cool band tht I remember well. Definitely up there along with other great 1980's bands. Which 1980's bands do you remember?

A-Ha
The Cars
Tears for Fears
Dire Straits
U2
Depeche Mode
Marillion
Genesis
Bryan Adams
Def Leppard
Gary Moore
Queen
Simple Minds
Duran Duran
The Cure

There were so many good bands in the 80s. I am glad I was able to live through it.

80's?! That's a LOT of hair metal, my friend.

Sam Beam did a cool cover of that Talking Heads tune a few years ago, by the way:

For my money one of the best records to come out in the 80's, from very, very early in 1980, was The Clash's "London Calling". The novelty of synthesizers and synthetic reverbs and big hair got to be a little much for me otherwise. Tom Cochrane and Red Rider were cool here in Canada. Springsteen.

At this age, aren't all things from the 80's considered "classic (valued)"?
