Hi Lads
More of an observation really.

I read that the updated spec for this engine is MS10902 and American dealers are using T6 5w/40. Well UK dealers are using an A3/B4 oil, namely the Selenia Sport 5w/40.

I would prefer a CJ-4 oil to the A3/B4 but then what do I know?

Any opinions?

Didn’t we already discuss this in detail back in 2019?

Hi
You very kindly offered advice on my Jeep 3.0crd with the Mercedes unit. My observation/enquiry is for the later VM Motori unit found in the latest Jeep. Totally different engine.

I just found it interesting that FCA in UK decided on a different Oil spec than North America.

I would like to upgrade to the later model Jeep Diesel but after reading a fair amount I am put off by the Engine issues.

Also wonder how DPF friendly the Selenia A3/B4 is. It does not give an ash content.

A3/B4 is < 2.0 ash by a standard....

Usually around 1.6 ash...
E6/E9 is around 0.9-1.1
C3 is around 0.8
C4 is around 0.5
C1&C2&C5.....idk really....dont like CAFE junk smile
