So. I bet that everyone here loves bacon

I usually buy uncured bacon, and I enjoy it a lot. Local butcher near me sells real, smoked and cured bacon and it's real good. What kind of bacon do you folks like?

I buy the thick cut Kirkland brand at Costco.

We buy Wright bacon too. We put it on a baking sheet and cook it in the convection oven at 375 for 25 minutes or so. Then we strain the grease into a container and use it in place of butter / oil for various things - good stuff!

Bacon is a major food group. My wife just served Potato soup with cheese and Bacon on top
I ate the Cheese and Bacon and tossed the soup

I haven't eaten bacon since about 1977. Actually I stopped eating all pork at that time.

Like a piece now and then. Bought some Benton's smoked bacon on line a while back. A bit pricey but wanted to try it. It's smoked, and I mean smoked! You gotta cook it outside on the grill. Prepare it indoors and be prepared to have your house smell like bacon for a week. It's pretty good though.

Kirkland and Wrights are both good. I like to buy the pork belly's at Costco and cure them for a week or more and then put it on the smoker. Smoke it, let it cool in the refrigerator, then slice it on my slicer and vacuum pack it. Ton's of work but it's the best.

Well, I understand "uncured" is actually somewhat better as has like 3 ingredients in it.

Heck, they told us eggs are so bad; I have 2 hardboiled eggs a day and I'm living fine

Stovetop and when back home at dads, we give some of the drippings to amish folks near real dad and they make soap with it to this day
