The Stelvio is an XUV, the Miata is a sports car. Suggesting a Mazda CX3 or CX5 vs the Miata makes more sense. The Miata is built in the same plant alongside the Fiat Spider 124 Abarth in Japan, and both, FIAT and Alfa Romeo belong to FCA.

nice...love the quote.

"there is no sense in having an argument with a man so stupid, he doesn't know you have the better of him."

I considered it over my turbo cx5, as it's a little faster, and handles a little better, and costs the same more or less, but the Japanese reliability over FCA was more important to me than a half second in the quarter mile in a CUV, so I went CX5. The Stelvio was definitely a contender though, but I'd likely go SQ5 CPO with low miles, if I wanted more performance at the expense of reliability, and skip the mediocre performing suvs all together. If it's going to break...it better be exceptionally fun and nice! In that way, the Stelvio is in no mans land for me. Not fast enough to justify, not reliable enough to justify. Compromises all around.
