Becoming a Swiss citizen is like belonging to a snooty country club. If you have to ask, they don't want you. It's hard to become a Swiss citizen even when you are married to one.... and try to learn Schweizerdeutsch ; my Mom grew up there, is a native German speaker, and still could not speak it. Great people, though.

I realize this is just a joke about the flag.
But having lived there for a bit, I would recommend it. It made for an excellent base from which to explore Europe and specifically the Alps.

One advantage is you can get cool military rifles there, trouble is , they've all been dropped on the ground......twice.
I have a Swiss rifle. It also has a big plus.
