Recently I got some ads in the mail, from an HVAC company that stresses the importance of regular cleaning / inspection. It said they will guarantee the result or money back, and the result is comparing your spring's energy bill against your previous winter energy bill, and it will save at least $120 or so dollar over 3 months (approximate).
I wasn't too sure how it would happen initially as this doesn't make sense, until I realize they are guaranteeing spring energy bill vs winter. That's not a very honest business practice IMO.
