I will wipe a plastic funnel dry, wash it with dish soap and warm water and let it air-dry before I store it in a large Ziploc bag. I keep disposable, folded cardboard funnels from aircraftspruce.com in all my vehicles. Because they are folded they take up little space and because they are disposable there is no mess.
