i wasn't quite old enough to post in the medicare thread, One shy of 60 and i feel like a kid!

I read this the other day though and thought it was humerous: "today is the oldest I have ever been"

googled it and found out it was a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, that goes like this:

"Today is the oldest you've ever been, and the youngest you'll ever be again."

― Eleanor Roosevelt

As a rule I'm turned off by one sentence glimpses of enlightenment, but that's actually pretty good. Sounds like a zinger for my death bed, replacing "Get out of here, I have to take a dump" or my mother's last words:"Must be something wrong with me, only took down a pack and a half today". *

* Two quotes necessitated from my daughter's insistence that I say something meaningful before my last breath. The dump quote was the actual last words from a friend's father when we were comparing notes. Eleanor's quote will be much better for my send off.

By the way. When does old start?

At 73 , some days I feel old, but my 99 year old Mother reminds me I am still young. Puts things in perspective.
