2013 Honda CRV EX

Out: Castrol Edge 0w-20, Bosch Premium 3323
In: Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20, Fram Extra Guard PH7317

Do you guys think the orange can Fram can handle the approximately 10,000km (6,250 miles) oci or should I cut it back to 8,000km (5,000 miles)?

If the packaging on your Fram EG is new formulation with the silicone ADBV and rated to 10K OCI, then go-for-it. Otherwise, I don;t trust nitrile ADBVs that long.

Yeah, I already know a thousand posters here used nitrile a-lot longer than 6,250.
So OP, you will get yes votes and no votes. Put all the votes in a hat and draw one.....I guess.
My rule of thumb is never to buy nitrile .... period and exclamation point

The only reason I'm running the Fram EG is that I got a bunch of them for super cheap ($1 CDN each). Once I'm through I won't be paying regular price for Frams. As per your suggestion, I'll look into what Rockauto has to offer. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll lower the OCI to 8,000km (5,000 miles) as the Fram EGs I have are the older formulation (nitrile ADBV).

Probably should have gone to Wal-Mart, but Autozone had no Valvoline 0W-20 except for the high-mileage flavor. Went with Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 instead. Also seem to have dropped Bosch filters, so went with an STP.
