This is the best price I've seen on Castrol Gold Jug in some time.

That is a good deal. I think the 5w30 was $28 and change this morning when I was there.

Picked up an ST air filter for the Matrix. Looks like a nice enough filter esp for $11. Says it can last 3 years/30k miles. While the Fram Ultra air filter said replace every two years and priced at $17 or so.

If you're one to do 7 or 10k mile oci's and you can use a Xw20, at this price I'd stock up. πŸ‘

I paid $24 last time I bought it. I think it's normally $27

With prices like these, I am not sure why anyone would use conventional oils...
And Castrol has always been great stuff.

5W-20 is working just fine in my 2004 Corolla at the present time factory calls for 5W-30. Price is what dictates the oil I use more than those recommended. But then
the last God Jug I got was on special at WM for $17 a Jug.

My OM spec's a 5/20 and it's on the cap but because I'm neurotic about having thick oil, I go with either a 5w30 or 10/30 99% of the time. But $20 for a 20k mile rated oil is a pretty darn good deal.

Now only if Wally's and Amazon would start blowing out conventional!

Walmart was blowing out Valvoline SB and Conventional last week, as was Quaker State.

Too bad it is 5W20 instead of 0W20. That is a very low price.

I logged on Amazon the other day and saw the Gold bottle for $17.56... figured it was because WM had dropped that low, so I didn't post it up. Guess that assumption was incorrect. no-no
