Wix 51269 I think cut open

Used it in an external transmission fluid filter mount
I think it was a 51269 but the numbers are worn off and I'm not 100% sure.
Was on for 25k

Why? That filter has plenty of filter media surface area.

Looks good to me. And if it is a 51269, the beta puts it at 95% at 17um. Not too shabby. As for the extraneous bypass comment, I'd speculate with some certainty topic filter efficiency significantly better than the oem preference of source.

That filter will not load up to a bypass with normal OCI's. Not an issue.
 
OP, thanks for pics. I think that filter could have easily gone double that distance, and my personal feeling is the K&N you used is an equivalent at the very best, likely not as good as the WIX most likely. But it will work fine!
