We had OE primacy mxm4 tires on our odyssey. Put defender tires on this fall. The defenders definitely have a firmer ride than the primacy.

So if your choices were the defender or the firmness of the continental tires, I'm not sure you'd be saying much different with the Michelin option...

I switched from Premier A/S to PureContact LS in a V6 2007 Accord. The Conti's are a better in snow/ice and handle about the same, but are wearing better. No difference in ride quality that I can tell.

Switched from Michelin premier a/s to Continental pure contact L/S on a 2012 Mazda3. Bought a lot of Michelin's in my lifetime but lately haven't been getting anywhere near the promised miles and also experienced the rubber cracking issue. So the last couple sets of tires have been continentals (similar performance to Michelin's, less $$)
