Walmart has been toying with prices the last two days. I've seen several great deals, but they don't last. They've got Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 for $16.24 per 5 quart jug right now, too.

Amazon is matching it right now too.

It seem that they have been in a fierce fight with Amazon with motor oil pricing for the past several months.

My theory is you don't fight them if they don't beat the other price not match they don't get my business.

If you look at the choices, the single is cheapest and semi-synthetic. The multipacks are more expensive and conventional oil. Why bother offering multipacks?

These motor oil wars between is a big win for consumers for sure. Throw in Autozone blowing oils out at a couple bucks a quart and some sweet rebates and it been a great year to be adding oil to your stash.

These are only temporary.

The Valvoline Daily Protection 5W30 is down to $11.59 a jug right now, I don't see that price lasting long.
