Arguably not quite as good as the PP deal at Wally’s but I’ve been looking for a replacement for the Chevron Supreme that used to be $12 per jug (and has been at $24 now for a while shrug ) for the MILs Suburban.

My oil, cause I have a bunch of $10 oil change and filter coupons. If I could change my own, I'd probably be buying a low end syn, but it's perfectly adequate.

Ron, I'd argue that if you're looking to save money, the Havoline ProDS box deal is a better value even at full price. Especially since one jug of Valvoline won't fill either of your sig sumps and you're buying multiples anyways. You can always stack the Havoline if tight on space smile

De omnibus dubitandum.

Agree. For within a few bucks your at a Grp 3 synthetic. With winter here for MOST of us I think its the only way to go. I nominate QSUD.

Agreed - I have run the Havoline box in everything from my Yukon to my sister’s Fusion both of which take 6 quarts. It’s a great value for the money. MILs suburban is a C/K series though (like my ‘98) and takes 5 quarts, so the jug works well for that.

Although now that the PP just dropped down to ~$13 that is clearly the better choice. I know WalMart prices are crazy, but several prices changes in one day is crazy!

I just bought some of the Valvoline Daily Protection 5W30 online at Walmart for $12.20 per 5 quart. 3 Jugs or more gets you free shipping and Amazon has it up for $12.20 as well, decent enough deal if you ask me.

And...literally while I was sitting here the 5 quart jugs dropped to $11.79.

$11.59 Amazon. Too good of a deal to pass up. Bought 4. I'm good on oil for the 4Runner for awhile now.

Yeah, Wally's dot com is matching that price right now.

That's $11.59 for a single 5 qt jug or a 3 pack of jugs or a 6 pack of jugs.

Right, if you buy 3 single 5quart jugs at 11.59 it is $34.77, if you buy a 3 pack it’s $50.40. Am I missing something? New math?
