just compensates for altitude... interesting..

that is a specialized application.

High altitude mountain sleds only. Designed to maintain it's 165 hp rating at 8000 ft. where as the competition has elevation power drops . No boost at sea level. 850 etec cranks are not that robust for high boost levels thus only the 4 psi cap at altitude.
