Watching Nurburgring videos I see races sponsored by German motor oil company ROWE. Anyone have experience with ROWE?

For my car the 5W-30 HC product shows GF-2 rating.

ROWE oil is regarded, at the moment, as the best german made oil in the german oil Forum "Oil club". Many stellar UOAs prove this.

The top of the line product is Group IV, shearstable, dont thin out over long use, and produce UOAs with very low wear metalls, even beating Mobil 1.

Have a look:

I also have changed the gear oil in my Honda S2000 and used their fully synthetic 75w-80, it works perfect. Best shift feeling i ever had.

The owner of the BMW wrote that he had some short trips, around 10 Miles. That is the reason for the little bit higher fuel level . If you read the UOA, the German word for fuel is "Kraftstoff" btw.

And the what we call gasoline in the US is benzin to them.
I read up on common tems before a trip to Italy and was horrified that US diesel was "gasolio" there and gasoline was also something like benzin...I made 100% sure I remembered that clearly before refueling my (benzin) rental car!

I used Rowe 0W40 in my '08 E60 550i during my last oil change. Didn't run a UOA on it unfortunately. I purchased it through FCP Euro but it seems that they are no longer carrying Rowe products.

No experience although I've seen it advertised in the BMWCCA monthly publication (aka Roundel) for a couple of years now. Obviously because of the cost it has only been sold via euro-parts houses. It seems to offer a high HTHS vs typical euro-OE certified oils found in the US.

Those intervals are really short for a synthetic (5k-6k miles).

And may be one of the most reasonably priced.

An online vendor offers an oil change service kit for a diesel VW. Rowe is the default oil with the kit. If you want another brand, this is the upcharge:

Total Ino....................+3.00
Liqui Moly................. +12
Pentosin................... +16
Genuine VW Brand.. +24
Mobil 1 ESP............. + 27

You are correct, their 0w-40 has the highest HTHS I've ever seen for that grade in Euro form at 4.0.

Rowe vs Ravenol SSL, the Rowe produce is also heavier (significantly) in the KV100 department:

I'm debating on trying the 5w40 in my 2014 X1 N20, and 2012 535i N55 for the next oil change.
