VOA of pureguard 15w40 CK4
900PPM of ZDDP not great but perfectly acceptable for stock engines. Do you know who blends this?
Omni source. Same people that makes o'Reilly's house brand.
It does appear on the API EOLCS listing so it is appropriate for any application requiring that license.
PureGuard 15W40 CK4 meets the Ford WSS-M2C171-F1 specification. However, this batch is a bit low on phosphorus (<1,000 PPM). The sample does contain a good amount of moly and boron. Calcium and magnesium levels are just adequate. Overall, the oil is serviceable for CK4 applications.
I was going to use it for extra zinc/phosp for my older stuff but I like levels above 1k. I'll use what I have and probably buy duragard oil.
