Ordered a master pack of these off RA and decided to tear one open and see what's going on inside. I'm satisfied for a budget filter made my Wix. 47 pleats, nicely spaced, a little excess glue on the media, but not much.

Good report they look good. You've gotten to know the ins and outs of oil filters.

They all have a tell lol plus I just recently bought a cutter lol. More to come. I always trust the wix brand

Here are some specs for this filter by WIX
21 micron "nominal" (which means B=2)

I would love to see a real full-blown filter test run on filter from various manufacturers.

Those specs are for the normal WIX, so hard to say if the jobber ProTech is the same ... I'd venture to say not.

WIX"s use of the term '"nomimal" doesn't make sense here as the typically used meaning of 50% efficiency because their beta ratio info shows beta 2 (50% efficiency) = 6 microns and beta 20 (95% efficiency) = 20 microns.

Thanks for the C&P, but I'll spend the extra buck twice a year to get my filters in hand, not deal with RA's ludicrous shipping shenanigans, and get a known filter (Napa Gold 1348).

Sure, the filters may be made by the same company, but so are the GT350 and Fiesta... and we see how that turned out. Ford's DCT result

And that's great; it's always good to have choices. Quick and easy way to see there's a use for these is the simple fact they're still being manufactured. If nobody was buying them, either the company kills this model, or the company folds. At least it appears to be "good enough" to satisfy requirements! No tears or manufactured gaps, so here's to seeing a used C&P!

Having used these before for 4~k OCI they hold up ok.

That's what I know about them. Thank You for C&P
