Wife's 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, 240,108 on the dash today. 4,906 on the filter. Changed it about 100 miles early, but I am working overtime at work all January. That makes today the day! Had Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic 5w-30 in it and that's what went back in with the same filter. No makeup oil, didn't burn a drop. Checked the level before draining and found it exactly where I set it 4,906 miles ago. Opened the media up this time for kicks and found a little carbon, that's really it. Boring is good!

Slight amount of carbon in the pleats probably due to rich start-ups in cold weather. I use to see that too on my vehicles over the winter months. Filter looks good, nice C&P - thanks.

That model comes with a handle?

Yes, I agree that "boring is good."

All the cartridge filters I've retired so far, of 3 different brands, look equally "boring." Nothing to see except a few tiny carbon flecks. Approximate mileages were 18.5k, 9.5k, and 25.8k.

Looks good overall.
I have several OEM filters still for my Santa Fe, but may look at these when time for another purchase (although mine uses a PS-7030, a slightly different design).
Wonder who makes these since they are made in Korea? Mann Hummel makes the canister filters in Korea, soo...
