Good afternoon BITOGERS

As I sit here enjoying a piece of homemade pecan pie that my youngest nephew, mom and I made, I wondered what kind of pie or pies you folks like or love. I love apple and pecan pie. My mom makes a great apple pie and all pies from scratch especially the crust

Coconut Cream
Pecan (from the days living down South)
Almost any berry, but particularly blueberry and (sigh) blackberry
Banana Cream

Apple can be OK, but anything with strawberries and I'm heading for the cake or cookies instead

Yes, nothing better than a homemade apple pie with a lattice top crust...not too sweet either.

Wild berries too, again just easy on the added sugar so they aren't too sweet.

When I could eat pie I liked pretty much all of them. The favorites were,

Lemon meringue
Apple
Any berry pie
Pumpkin

I didn't care for mincemeat when I was younger but later on I loved it.

Only fruit pies, but not apple. I'm not into "spicy" pies. Don't get me started on the gelatinous goo with pecans on top that I'm forced to eat at every gathering on my wife's side.

Cherry, Blueberry or the traditional family pie handed down from the Nebraska dirt farmers in my pedigree - gooseberry!

Hot pecan pie with 20%+ fat vanilla ice cream is right up there.

For me, it's all about the crust. If the crust is flaky and not overcooked, any filling is good.

The Best Pie i have ever eaten is Shaker Lemon Pie.

Mine was consumed in Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill..

I have never seen one since.

Yes. Better than any pie, though.
