Any thoughts on this?

It's a different formula compared to most engine flushes

https://www.castrol.com/en_au/australia/products/other-products/engine-flush.html

Not available in the US I have heard

Interesting claims by another site promoting it especially number 3

Key feature
-Remove sludge and dirt from engine parts
-Help maintain engine power & efficiency
-Prevent contamination of fresh oil by residues left behind

I guess we'll have to wait for the reviews from OZ, to know if it works or not.

I used it, it's a very different flush, it is oil not a watery liquid like other flushes. 11.0 at 100C, so it's not thinning your old oil. I'm just unsure of the active ingredients, what they are and how they work. They are in the msds. My engine is pretty clean but I usually run a flush so I know the turbo oil lines are free of any build up.

I guess they needed this to combat all the issues caused by running heavier weight oil unlike the 0w-20 here in the US.

Why not fill oil sump with 50% oil and 50% diesel?

Its an oil, it's not common engine flush.

No, the MSDS doesn't identify any active additives, just about 90% base oil diluent.
They say it doesn't have solvents, so then what? Something has to dissolve the sludge, as 10% of the mixture. No evidence it does anything but drain your wallet.

Run Valvoline Premium Blue Restore 10w30 every 50,000 miles for a full oil change interval in the summer if you want cleaner piston rings. Patented PAO+POE+AN+whatever. Very stable, tough oil to run. ...

Doesn't answer the "what's in it" question but you can't rely on the MSDS disclosure for all the ingredients.

Iā€™m curious about the name. Shampoo comes across odd. Shampoos are usually external cleaners.

Internal cleaners would be called enemas but I can see why Castrol would shy away from labeling it as such.

Why not call it a engine flush?

I actually like the way "engine enema" rolls off the tongue.šŸ˜‚

... "High Colonic Castrol" or HCC, works here.
And every shampoo has to have a conditioner. I can imagine them marketing "clean", then "condition" your internal parts with our sister product. Suckers buy two!

*Why not just use Seafoam (1 oz. per qrtt. of oil) for 100 miles right before the next oil drain & fill ? ... Has anyone heard of Seafoam damaging engine components or seals run at the proper dosage & miles (300 miles max) ?
