What car is this for?

Carnauba wax has a melting point of around 185 degrees. So your argument about 160 degrees isn't relevant, but the potential for melting on a 300-500 degree exhaust system does have relevance.

10 feet back from the engine it's nowhere near 300 degrees or it would have heat shields which these models doesn't.

Sprayed everything with Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish as an experiment. Will see how it looks in a few weeks.

Use some cooking oil and keep rubbing it on... maybe it will "season" itself like a cast iron pan LOL

Go stainless, or don't drive it before you sell it.

De omnibus dubitandum.

Yeah- but don't forget to wax or lube those high speed muffler bearings, too

I saw "aluminized paint" from an industrial rattle can applied to a short vertical muffler on a tractor.

Had to have lasted 10 rust free years. "A metal powder and some kind of flux", somebody said.

It'd be a good coating to have for repairs.

You could always wallpaper the interior.

If the tip is polished, you can wax it and it will help keep it looking new.

The whole system? No.

Your best bet is to make sure your drives are long enough to burn off any condensation in the exhaust.

Would've been better off just hitting it with high-temp clear coat.

Funny, you'd think a car flipper would prefer to sell to the first person with money in hand. oilburner
