is that safe for every day 24/7 use?

compare pour points of different brands same weight. Most likely look at 0 winter rated oils.

I wouldn't. They designed this oil specifically to address carbon/ring issues on Cummins OTR diesel engines and it is pricey. I like a dose of ester in my oil and have been using Red Line and Ravenol of late. I have 6 quarts of MPT 10W30 in my garage but am a little worried about poisoning my DPF's in my diesels and catalytic converters in my gasoline vehicles. I am going to use it in my ATV and for my snow blower.

Yes, absolutely safe and what it's designed for! In fact, it's recommended to run a 25,000 mile drain interval in that commercial diesel engine by Cummings. (They allow a 60K drain interval using the other Valvoline Premium, and up to 80k(!) with oil testing).

There are a number of people who've run it in gas engines and seen carbon coming out, oil usage dropping. It's pricey at $75/gallon. I am thinking I will get two gallons early next year and burn that through my SUV with ring coking issues and see what it does...

Here's some local commentary and visual evidence:

The only ones at Walmart in 5 quart jugs that are almost all PAO are Mobil1 Extended Performance 0w20 and Mobil1 Annual Protection 0w20.
Mobil1 AFE 0w20 went to all Group3 or 3+ recently.
Castrol Edge 0w40 is half PAO if memory serves me. Mobil1 0w40 around 1/3 PAO.
Many VW 508 spec 0w20 oils are all or high percentage PAO since that is a higher performance specification for an oil.
The answers are in the Safety Data Sheets, at least approximate ranges.

Not on the shelves, but PAO across their line (blauparts.com sourced) is Ravenol from Germany.

Mobil1 Racing 0w30 is all PAO.
Eneos Racing Street 0w50 is all PAO.

Mostly you can forget PAO as long as the performance standard is high. Just let that be your guide. dexos1 is better than SN, and go to German oil specs for the best performance.

Mobil 1 AFE 0W16 has the highest PAO % for over the counter at WalMart.

You didn't state the grade oil.

I thought PAO was so special you had to get a prescription to buy it.

As it stands now:
M1 AP/EP 0w20/16.

Other graded of M1 EP/AP also use a certain amount of PAO.

Castrol 0w40.

Pennzoil makes it pretty clear they use GTL.

^This 70-80% PAO per the SDS

(The Castrol 0W40 mentioned by buster has only 25%-50% per the SDS)

Wrong. See https://www.quickfds.com/out/18967-57685-02817-012005.pdf

Motul Specific 508 509 0w-20 is all-PAO though. https://www.quickfds.com/out/18967-57826-12259-015155.pdf The VW 508/509 performance spec is so high it causes Motul to use the expensive PAO.
