I bought my Ford Fiesta at the beginning of the year since I needed something to fit a car seat. I bought it at 60k and it currently has 90k on it since I commute 100 miles a day for work. I have replaced spark plugs, battery, all fluids, and brakes. My question is is there anything I should look for on these cars. It runs real good with zero issues at the moment. Also I saw in the owners manual it lists a timing belt and accessory belt Change at 150k. That seams awful long, has anyone kept their st for that long? Should I go that long or should I do it at 100k? Plus I don’t know if these are interference engine’s. The forums are not very good for info unless I want to mod it. Repairs and stuff like that I cannot find solid info.

Don't know. My 2013 Fiesta SE has 55,000 miles on it. I plan on changing the belt at 7 years or 60,000 miles. Do not trust the owners manual. You just about have to read the whole thing. I find that the Ford Owner manuals often disagree with them selves. One page will say one interval and in the back it will say an interval that's half as long. For example, one ford I had said to change the manual transmission at 160.000 miles and after it started making noise I saw where it said every 60 or 80,000 miles (I forget)

Don't trust the dealer - the dealer will say you need to come in way too soon.

To be safe I would do it at 100,000 miles if not sooner.

Timing belts are made from better materials, so go the distance.

Do you have the automatic-manual transmission? Those are finicky.

Fiesta ST is manual only.

Highway miles are the easiest miles on your car. I would change the MT fluid at 100K if you have not done so already. And flush the brake fluid every 3 years regardless of mileage.

Being a 2015, it is an interference engine. Non interference engine designs are a thing of the past as they are not as efficient in the HP per liter combined with fuel efficiency criteria of today.

The Fiesta ST “B6” 6-speed Manual transmission is spec’d for Motorcraft Dual Clutch Transmission fluid. My Focus 1.0 EcoBooost also uses the B6 and is spec’d for the same fluid. The 5-speed manual uses regular manual trans fluid.

Since turbo engines have lower compression ratios than that of non-turbo motors, that's not necessarily true.

I am not sure how many RPMs at 60, but I average 35mpg mixed highway and around town. I am not a super aggressive driver, but I don't really drive slow. I do like to wring it out from time to time since its soo much fun.

I just want the car to last because its been one of my favorites. I do not beat the car and want to just stay on top of maintenance. I am going to keep it stock because I will build up another car once I get my own place.
The car can with an Injen cold air intake and a Cobb solid mount for the transmission.

I asked about the RPM's because my SE has only about 12 % overdrive in top gear. My 99 3rd generation Mercury Tracer (that's a re badged Escort) has about 33% overdrive. I enjoy my Fiesta SE w/5 speed manual, but mileage is not that great, and has a serious lack of torque. I have to shift down several gears to pass anyone. The Tracer, all I had to do was step on it, or else shift down to 4th. Was 200 lbs heavier, had 2 liter engine and got better mpg.

I would like try driving an ST.

Gee how come in Europe you can get a car w/manual transmission?
