Just curious if these are even worth it? The price is nice but other than that, how well do they filter?

They look like red Densos Toyota OEM YZZA1 style filters. I would not image they were all that bad on filtering as these are not touted for high flow, high performance applications. Surprisingly good value for a high performance name brand.
The denso filter from Toyota are not ranked high on filtering either by the way. Good enough for OEM, good enough for me.

K&N cartridge filters are typically made in S. Korea and sold at a fair price. Have run them before without issue.

I don't think its any kind of special or high quality filter just because its a K&N.

"Performance Silver" is K&N's value line. but $4.50 for a cartridge is a good enough deal it might be worth trying.

Nope. Just use your Honda or Toyota OEM filters purchased from a dealership. Cheap and they filter just fine.

I've used one on my Mercedes e320 cause it was a lot cheaper than the Mann filter. It did what it's supposed to do.
