Happy Thanksgiving!

I have been looking at tires for my son's resto '87 Wrangler. Glad I waited!

Goodyear Wrangler Radial P235/75R15's - yes the classic - On sale for $54.00/ea at Walmart with free delivery.
Grabbing 5 ! There are other Wrangler tires on sale as well, most around $20 off, each.

The Radial is a great tire for older trucks and suv's with a 15" rim.

Sweet deal!

Others should ensure the 105S load/speed rating is enough for their needs-- many options in this size.

My jeep had those when it was brand new. They were awful. Really bad on a wet street. Only time my Jeep ever spun a tire was with those.

the wrangglers are a "decent" tire for the price. but it is still a poorly rated tire that does not do anything good, just average at best.

for a much better wrangler tire that is top rated look at the tralirunner version, will cost more than the base model wrangler but is a much better tire. walmart doesnt sell them though but goodyear.com will usually match any other prices. walmart has a "trail mark" version but is not like the traiilrunners.

IMO, it's an undesirable tire that people only buy because it's the cheapest thing in a major brand. The ride quality is poor while offering no advantages and pretty terrible wet traction. It's almost as though they deliberately sabotaged the tread channels to punish those who weren't wiling to pay for their more expensive tires because that's a simple design choice with zero manufacturing cost.

There are several other choices for a 15" rim, but most hover around $130 a tire +/- $20. I can understand cheaping out but to me, poor wet traction is a deal breaker. That's poor wet traction relative to other A/T tires, which are on average, worse than street tires. Their ice and hard pack snow traction is sub-par too.

At the same time if it's not a daily driver and the vehicle driver knows to take it slow on wet or icy roads, it is an attractive price, but I would sooner get street tires with a budget that tight.

Several years ago, I bought some Goodyear Wranglers from WalMart for my Jeep. Hey, a Jeep's gotta have Wranglers, right? I did not purchase the road warranty.
After about 20K miles, one of the tires (and only one) developed some severe cracking around the knobs on the tire. The cracking was around each knob, and every knob, all the way around the entire tire.
The tires were rotated regularly, always had the correct tire pressure and the Jeep had no suspension problems.
I took the single tire back to WalMart and had the tire foreman look at it. "Did you purchase road warranty?", he asked. I told him I did not.
"Well, neither WalMart or Goodyear will stand behind this tire because you didn't purchase the road warranty." I told him that it was a manufacturing problem, not a road hazard problem. He agreed, but it didn't matter.
I then asked him if he would feel comfortable driving down the road with that tire underneath him. "Oh, heck no. That tire looks like it could come apart at any time!"
That was the last time I will have Goodyear tires underneath me on any of my vehicles also.
Good luck with your tires.

I had them on my 93 Wrangler and they were fine. They were good in the snow, they actually handled decently, and they got that little Jeep everywhere I wanted it to go off-road. I ran two sets on them before going to a BFG Mud Terrain.

I have a set on my 88 F-150 and for what I do with that truck I've been pleased with them. I got a deal close to that when I bought them. Makes a lot of sense for a rarely driven vehicle.

You can’t spin the tires on your Jeep?

I’ve got new BFG All Terrain KO2’s and can spin them.
