Tranny Drain/fill 17 Volvo XC90

I've searched the web, and I'm coming up empty.

Has anyone done a drain/fill on a late model 8 speed tranny in a Volvo? I'm thinking there has to be a fill plug somewhere where I can use a Mityvac to suck out and replace some fluid? Volvo says it's a lifetime fluid. I did find the spec for the fluid is AW-1. Searching around, I don't even see many readily available AW-1 fluids.

JWS 3324 and Toyota WS are all the same as AW-1.

Aisin boxes usually aren't fussy, my 6 speed gets a universal ATF that 'meets' AW-1 apparently.

LM TopTec 1800, Bilstein 29934, Redline D6, Motul ATF1 are all approved. Id probably stick with with OE fluid with it under warranty, and keep the receipt.

It's a "lifetime" fluid. Why not just wait until the power train warranty is up and then change it all you want, rather than using these " one size fits all " fluids right now?

I am not certain about the 8 speed, but on the 6 speed TF-80 SC Aisin in my Volvo, the fill plug is on top of the transmission under the air filter, but you cannot suction the fluid out because the gears get in the way when trying to fish the tube down into the fluid. The fill plug is a large Torx plug

If it's the Aisin 8 speed, you fill through the drain plug. It has a standpipe for checking the level that you remove to drain.
