No manufacturer makes this tire size other than a non-legal slick. According to a tire size calculator, this size would be the exact same diameter as the 275/40/19 tire I have on the GT. You'd think this size would sell like hotcakes for those wanting more rubber out back. Maybe it is a structural thing???

It seems tire makers go from 305 to 325 or even higher. You can find 315/30 tires, but you lose a bit of diameter.

Just curious if anyone might be "in the know". cheers

Yeah, looks like nothing in this size. I've seen GT folks recommending 305/35/19 instead which is pretty close.

a little more sidewall is better to protect the wheels + prolly a better ride.NOT a fan of todays "rubber band" tyres + oversized wheels!

I've thought about that size, but in a 20" wheel. It does match up exactly to the stock 275 diameter, too. As benjy said above, I don't want to make the ride more harsh...the car does have the Performance Package 1. 20s are more expensive, too. I think it can be done with the right wheel, but as a last resort.
