Hi everyone,

I've seen this electrical tool and it has an extended little saw blade seems to be used to cut corners in wood and so on.

Imagine an angle grinder, but the disk is a blade and it just moves up/down really fast.

No idea what it's called and hence cannot link a photo...

Oscillating multi-tool. I used one to cut off interior door molding to fit flooring underneath.

Looks somewhat like this.

Sounds like either one depending on size.

Oscillating multi tool is the one!

Does it cut straight, thin lines?
I need to cut up some skirtboarding to install a dishwasher at my place and I need something that will cut it neatly and straight

It's a lot easier to tack a block up to your cut line to make sure you get a straight line. I've seen a couple guys who can cut a straight line with it, but they've had a lot of practice. Even just cutting baseboard I tack up a block.

Had one loaned to me as an " oh by the way" try this in a tight spot.

Hugely useful tool that I initially poo poo'd.
