Maybe, Perfect Album is not as definitive as it seems.
Days of future passed has got to be the best of all conceptual albums.
Red Headed Stranger is the same for country.

Oh, man, this post takes me back. I agree with most of the selections.
Add:
1. Santana Abraxis
2. Jethro Tull, Benefit, Aqualung, and an honorable mention to the concept album Thick as a Brick.
3. Another vote for In Search of the Lost Chord, but have to note that Timothy Leary is really dead.
4. Crosby Stills, Nash and Young Deja Vu.

"Incident at Neshabur". Probably one of the best pieces of music ever made. If you can find a painfully rare original mono pressing, you're in for a treat!!

Dunno about perfect, but Appetite for Destruction is about as good as it gets from start to finish. There are a couple of only OK songs on it but overall it's incredible, and was pretty groundbreaking. Concur with Dirt as well.

Going with some newer stuff by "oldies" bands I'd say Death Magnetic by Metallica and Book of Souls by Maiden are both really great.
