I agree. I use the Hastings on my personal vehicle. I have used the Premium Guard before with good results and uoa but the quality is hit or miss. You might get a Chinese, Korean or Mexican made PG all with the same part number. I don't like not knowing before I put it on.
 
I like that Federated Extended life filter the best out of those 3. Would not hesitate to run that in anything, what are the respective prices of the 3 filters?

$4.86 for the Federated Ext.
$5.30 for the Motorcraft
$7.99 for the Napa Gold
 
Thanks mpgo4th! The Federated Extended Life seems even better deal with the pricing! - too bad I cant find them for my OPE.
 
The Pro Select looks better than the Motorcraft. The winner is the Federated.

For what its worth, on my 185000 mile 5.4L Ford, the federated is the only oil filter I've used that stopped the startup clatter from the engine.
