I've never really paid much attention to Black Friday Sales in the past. I keep reading that a lot of people wait for this day to score some great deals. Can someone tell me where to find these deals? Do you just go to a website for a product your interested in or is there some type of compilation sight that lists Black Friday sales from multiple sellers? I'm interested in some Samsung tablets as Christmas gifts for the grand kids. Thanks.

I personally would avoid the stores on Black Friday. Look online instead. Some stores have only a few of the super bargain items. Between the crowds and people getting shot at Walmart, no thanks.

In the past some places like TSC will do free shipping on any order, any amount. I've picked up things like the yellow 2"x20' ratchet straps for $7, shipped to my door.

Toolup often has good sales on cordless tools.

Some of these are BF, some are CM

However I agree with the internet fighting the crowds is less and less necessary. Most stores intentionally do "in-store only" deals but those seem to be dwindling.

Other places like HD are expanding sales that are 90% as good to other times of the year; right now HD is doing the "Pro BF" with things like the 47x12" Gorilla platforms at $24.88 (great deal). If you want to fight the crowds on BF proper you might save $5, and get a 250# rating rather than 300#. Now HD also does "Spring BF" which is a sham but I'll take deep sales several times per year

https://www.theblackfriday.com/

etc.

along with any individual store's websites..most should have their ads online by now.

and these days you're seeing better deals online on cybermonday.

as a 20+ year retail veteran...anymore black Friday ain't NOTHING compared to what it was 15-20 yrs ago...
in fact, my company Hasn't even had a separate Friday only ad the last 2 years. we have a "Black friday Deals all week", a 2 day Thursday/Friday ad, and a Sat ad with additional Coupons...

Ok I initially dropped this in the AutoZone thread 'cause apparently being on my THIRD cup o' coffee isn't enough for proper brain function. Anyway:

Plus every BF HD does the jugs of Shell dino for about $10. Not earth shattering

Probably the better deal is the DuPont wipers, I think they usually go around $4-5 ea? But in my area HD shoppers aren't thinking wiper blades - they'd rather stumble into O'Reilly the morning of precipitation and pay $50 for a set of blades (I swear the auto parts stores keep their doors open solely from insane mark-up on wipers).

Anyway the point is if you watch the swing area and RT (race track) a few weeks AFTER BF the wipers start to be clearanced at $2-3 apiece

There are some good Amazon deals that pop up around Cyber Monday:

The things that go on sale every so often will for sure be on sale during BF. I've been waiting for Dewalt batteries to go on sale since I got a cordless circular saw during the summer. There will be some sort of deal on them somewhere during the next ten days.

Thanks for the replies. Won't be any store visiting for this guy. At this point I was really interested in some Samsung Tab A 10.1" tablets for the grand kids. I'll check out Best Buy's website and Amazon too. Please add more sites if any come to mind. Thanks again.

I check local fliers and news papers. Even in Canada they have black Friday sales. They are actually starting some sales this week.

PP is on sale at Canadian tire for under $23 for a 5 liter jug 5w-30, 5w-20 and 0w-20 grades. Also mentions a $10 rebate (mail in). This is the cheapest I've ever seen it in the Great White North.

I've noticed the customer surveys at the bottom of each HD receipt are now specifically asking how much of your holiday shopping you plan to do online, and where.

Clearly HD is trying to get a handle on consumer trends....so if you want to maybe make your voice heard (specifically that in-store isn't for you but online shopping is) consider completing those receipt surveys.

Personally I'd love to see more and more online BF sales with deep discounts and less "door buster" nonsense
