I need a Mass Air Flow Sensor for my 1996 2.0L Zetec Ford Contour. I checked the usual sites, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts and Rock Auto. I ordered from RA a new Standard Motor Products brand complete MAF sensor. It was slightly more than the new Hitachi but it has a 3 year warranty instead of Hitachi's 1 year warranty. I ordered it Sunday afternoon and received it today, Tuesday morning. It turns out it's a re boxed BRAND NEW FORD unit banana ! RA has a Reman Ford unit for $230 plus $75 core charge. I paid $90 for the NEW Standard branded FORD unit, and no core charge! This is for the complete unit, not just the sensor. RA has a Delphi sensor only, no housing, for $77.

SMP Intermotor Import re-boxes factory parts too.

I've bought SMP PCV valves and a MAF sensor in the past with no problems. Prices were right.

Yeah, I bought four Standard coils for my Escape because I was bored and felt like changing them. One of them was an OE Motorcraft part!

Last time I bought Standard was NOS Red Box ignition coils for my Grand Marquis, which were made in USA. Never had a problem, but right now I believe they are made in China.
