Good afternoon Bitogers

Before I hack another used filter open; thought I'd ask what you diesel vehicle owners are using for HDEO oil. My friends with the f250 and ram 2500 truck run 10w30 rotella or HK All Fleet 10w30 HDEO

I'm currently using Valvoline Premium Blue 8600es. 15w40 blend I think
I used the 5w40 Premium Blue Extreme but felt the cheaper 15w40 was just as good for the shorter changes light duty trucks call for.
I also used Lubrication Engineers 5w40 for years but decided it was to hard to buy and to expensive for my use.

I'll probably stick with the Valvoline because it goes on sale every once in awhile at TS and I buy a few cases.

T5 10/30 in the tdi, since it only gets done once every 10 mos or so, I needed cold weather flow. Otherwise Id go 15/40 in warmer climates. Switching the GL to T6 in a few hundred miles.

15w40 and 5w40 for my diesel tractors as well as my dads.

My new Kubota is approaching it's initial 50 hour service and I'm not sure what oil to use. The manual is outdated and states 10w30, 15w40, SAE 20 and SAE 30 depending on the temperature. I'd prefer to use 5w40, but I don't want any warranty drama should an issue arise. Will most likely run 10w30, but the darn thing has a 7 year warranty. Lol.

During winter the loader tractor gets rotella T5 10w-30. The rest all gets plus50II or HK 15w-40

10w30 MC for the winter and MC 15w40 for the summer for my 6.0

M1 Delvac 1/ESP 5W40 in the Cummins Ram (so it will start unaided below freezing), T5 10W30 in the GMC, Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40 in the F-450 (leaks thinner oils really fast from the oil cooler & rear main). Finally ran out of the AZ closeout 99 cent/gallon Delo 400 SAE 30 gallons, used all FORTY of the ones I had!

Kubota tractor 5w40 Delvac, Peterbilt w/ 3406E Cat 15w-40, Prevost coach w/ Series 60 12.7 (and 20kw Kubota generator) 15w-40. Delvac, Delo or Rotella all good stuff.
