I bought (2) 75 wt & (2) 150 at rough service with silicon coating light bulbs at Home Depot for 1¢. They were in the clearance shelf, marked down from $5.79 to $1.42. When I scanned them, they came up as 1¢! With tax, 4 bulbs cost 5¢, one nickel. I wish I could use more!

Have you considered converting the bulbs on your vehicles to this type of bulb?

If it scanned @ .01 , it should have been pulled off the shelf. Often times you can benefit from them being slow
about shelf maint. & if you find a penny item, they sell it to you.

I've scored 1 cent items at our local Home Depot a few times over the years. I asked a store manager about it once and he said the 1 cent items were supposed to be pulled and donated to charity, but sometimes they get changed in the computer and still left on the clearance shelf. I've never had a problem with them honoring the scanned price.

I recently scored replacement trailer light lens sets on such a deal.

Very hit or miss of course!

Good deal. Like everything else GE, unfortunately, quality has seemed to go downhill.

I had these in my garage door opener and the silicone coating wrinkled up and flaked off in about a year. Not sure why, but I bit the bullet and replaced them with the Genie LED bulbs that don't emit RF to disturb the remote.

Pretty sure those are 120 volt bulbs used in trouble lights. Guessing they will be illegal to sell soon, hence the clearance price.

Yeah penny deals at HD are huge, massive, gigantic YMMV

Also clearance schedules are regional so what's a penny at one store might be normal stock at another

And yeah, since LED came into its own like the M12 stick light and underhood light I cut the cord AND the need to ever change bulbs.... although truly a headlamp is where it's at - I've been using the Milwaukee RedLithium USB but it requires a beanie or welding cap to be comfortable on the forehead (I'm always wearing a beanie in the winter or welding cap in the summer in the shop)
