Any suggestions for 300 blackout supers? I'd like to balance HD, medium game and price as I will probably stock a little bit in this caliber. Currently out of a 16" barrel without a can, but in the future I'd like to upgrade to a 10.5" pistol.

For HD and medium game look into the Barnes 110grn Tac TX.

For ammo, try Magtech 123grn or S&B 124grn - it's a little cheaper than the Magtech and you can find them both on 2awarehouse.com

Don't have a recommendation, but curious how loud they are out of a 16" without a can. I assume you're firing subsonic ammo?

They are 5.56 loud without a suppressor and shooting supersonic loads.

I use Hornady black 110 VMAX for my home defense load.

For plinking, I'm happy with the Magtech supersonic. About 0.52/round at my local store. Slightly cheaper on line.

Supersonic from the 10.3" pistol is loud. Like an AR. Supersonic 123 grain has about 1200-1300 ft lbs ME.

Subsonic, unsuppressed, is much quieter. Like shooting a .45 ACP. But a 200-220 grain subsonic has 400-500 ME. No surprise if you think about it. About the weight of a .45 ACP at about the same velocity.
