Some Wavy pleats which is typical.
Seam held up like I figured it would.
No tears in media. No tears at baseplates

All in all, a good filter. Bought it on RockAuto as an "Ultra Power" oil filter for like $1.13, I ordered 4 and got this one and 3 CQ blues, which will be ran eventually.

Note: the carpet is a cheap 6$ rug from walmart. I use it to avoid spills on the garage floor when doing things on vehicles. Lol.

DISCLAIMER: Sorry if this cut open filter extravaganza isnt as good as a Stude one.

The carpet disclaimer was perfect. I caught myself thinking "Does this guy have wall to wall carpeting in his garage?. Or worse "Is he cutting filters open in his living room?" Well done.

The filter looks unremarkable; that's a good thing.

As for this:

No truer words were uttered by a BITOGer, ever ...
Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery!

The CQ Blues should have better construction and media (if nothing has changed in the line). This one looks OK though.
