2012 Honda Civic EX

A family member is looking at a 2012 Civic(non-SI) EX with automatic transmission, any known issues on that particular year?

I thought R18 never had any oil burning issues, but 'google' search suggests some instances of oil consumption(SI, mostly).

Anything which would be a concern? Appreciate the help

The R18 is a good engine with no problems

And 2012 doesn't have the CVT, just a regular 5-speed automatic.

Try to find them a 2013 instead of the 2012. Honda made numerous improvements for the 2013 model year; there were a lot of complaints about the 2012:

My mother purchased a 2013 few months ago, touring.....good car except for cvt, and going in for known issue with fuel system that Honda extended warranty for. Think it comes down to quality of fuel/combustion etc.

might be a 6 speed auto....I had an '11 I leased for 0 down $179/mo. Sold it for full payoff two months before it was due back. The dealership brokered the deal at the new buyer's expense. ($200 cash IIRC)
