7,591 miles on this sample

This oil sample was 5W40, NOT 15W40.

I'm thinking of running extended oil changes, but wanted some input on this. I typically change out the oil between 7,500-8,000 miles. I ran 15W40 dino oil in the last 3,900 miles and will send that off to Blackstone for testing. I've filled sump with Rotella T6 5W40. Any thoughts?

THIRTEEN quarts of make-up oil?? In 7500 miles? You're in range of my F-450 if that's correct, hoping it's a typo. I ran Premium Blue Extreme 5W40 in a 6.0, it got the original VV turbo to 260K, it's pretty good stuff.

12.5 quarts plus or minus 0.5 quart, to fill an empty sump. I just dumped my tank and added 12.75 quarts, which put level about half on the dip stick.

Welcome to the site!

The wear rates are fairly typical of what you'll see for many similar applications. Nothing to fear there. Contamination is low, also. Overall healthy.

When you send in a UOA, that value is supposed to represent the amount of "make up" (top-off) oil you add during an OCI. It's not the drain/fill quantity.
