I think the OP is ready to master Baked Alaska!

Seriously, popcorn is a cheap and easy snack to make.
Dorito Popcorn Seasoning: 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast, ¼ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp cumin, ¼ tsp paprika, ¼ tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp salt.

Not burnt at all
Popped in butter and vegetable oil

Not burnt
What you see is the color of butter and bad lighting

Don’t take it personal kstanf150. You’ve gotta have a thick skin to post on this forum. Enjoy your popcorn. Next time cut open a filter.

Looks great, how did you pop the corn? I like to put some white cheddar powder on my Whirley popped corn.

I’ve always used a large pot with a lid
Melt about a half stick of butter and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
The amount of butter and oil will depend on size of pot
When butter stops foaming its hot enough
Pour in enough corn to cover the bottom of the pot cover and let it go
Shake the pot a couple of time over heat to keep the kernels on the bottom

That sounds delicious! I've been trying to be a little healthier, so I use just a couple table spoons of coconut oil in the whirley pop, but I might have to give your method a try. The whirley pop is nice, but it's a definite unitasker, and kind of annoying to clean.
