Eye candy. I will have to settle with our Model 3...

0-60 in 1.9, 8.8 sec quarter mile and 600 mile range for $250K. All without the supercar maintenance costs.

Not bad, actually.

No front trunk lines either. Or maybe there is no front trunk?
But the windshield wiper could be the 1 blade system Tesla has applied a patent for.

Certainly could be a concept. But what a car!

This is not the car Tesla should be making. The are already having a difficult time making a profit. "Supercars" typically lose money for a manufacturer. The only recent supercars that haven't lost money is the Koenigsegg and Bugatti Chiron. It's fast sure a fast golf cart. It doesn't make a sound has no soul. It's like buying an expensive usb drive. Ive driven several teslas and was not impressed. Poor fit and finish, overly complicated for no reason and arrogant ceo to boot. Call me not impressed.

1.9s is insane.

Perhaps even dangerous unless it can be tempered way, way back.

Wonder what the battery life will be? Do they have to have a 10 or 15 year warranty for "emissions" reasons in CA? What if used too many cycles in some sort of ludicrous mode?

I'd have to doubt the 600 mile claim though...

I'm pretty sure you aren't Tesla's target consumer... and they won't lose any sleep over losing you as a customer.

1.9 seconds was their thoughts back in 2017. Now they're predicting it'll be even faster ...³

The new plaid-mode Model S will probably be pushing 2.0 seconds.

Speculation is that the lithium battery pack on the Roadster works in conjunction with UltraCapacitors for high discharge (and charge) rates.

That dual arm windshield wiper looks like it's been directly lifted from our EC-135 helicopter.

Agree. Hopefully they'll sell, and I suspect it'll actually be driven.

Yeah, cheaper than just about any super car...
Heck, more performance than any other car, right?

Why? You don't come across as somebody who is counting his food stamps!

No, seriously, that $250K to you is like $80K to me. You can afford it. Go for it and let me live vicariously through you. PLEASE!!

Vikas, my man...
Maybe we can go take a test drive...
FYI, my niece-in-law is raising 2 sets of twin girls on her own; my nephew died unexpectedly 5 or 6 years ago.
We walked them all over the Stanford campus this past summer.
I am committed to seeing those kids through college...
I told them I would buy them a Tesla if they graduate...
Little Xiomi told me, "If I graduate you don't have to buy me one; I can buy my own."
Bravo!

That remains to be seen. I will just hope their claims are factual.

Plenty of videos out there. The numbers are conservative according to reports.

I've seen plenty of videos of claims. Any with actual measured performance?

I will agree that the Tesla Roadster out traveling through space, is moving faster than any other vehicle.

I have not seen any videos od the Roadster timed on a dragstrip.
I would love to; we will have to wait for that.

Here is a pro driver's opinion; you have probably seen some of his acceleration videos:
