Was a little hasty and overfilled my oil when changing it today. '02 Honda Civic EP3, uses the "two indicator holes" type of dipstick. I drained out the excess, but I'm wondering if I need to drain a bit more.

Couldn't get a good picture of it without three hands, but this is an accurate representation of it. This reading is after the engine cooled for an hour or so in 10C weather.

Most all engines can handle a slight over fill. A half quart won't hurt
anything. Some older engines can take a whole quart over fill with no
problems.
Many engines are also spec'd for odd capacities, i.e. 4.3 qts. etc.
Most folks just round off to 4.5 or even 5 qt.

Let it be.

My 2¢

If your engine was cooling for only 1 hour, the oil still had temperature. At that reading you are not overfull. Drive with confidence and pay more attention next time
