I like using Rotella oil. Unfortunately, the application I need oil for in this particular case calls for 10w-40. I can't seem to find Rotella in that weight. Any advice on what I should use?

This👆.. don't pigeon hole yourself into a single grade. If you're thinking you need a thicker oil for some reason, go with the 15/40... otherwise a 5w40 will work just as well as a 10w40. Heck, even the 15/40 will be fine depending on what the engine originally calls for.

Btw, Valvoline, NAPA, Castrol, QSAD are all fine 10w40's.

Both the motorcycles in my sig specify 10w-40, that being said I use the 15w-40 Rotella in both of them without issue. Most people don't ride motorcycles below freezing anyways so it's a non issue.

Never heard of Rotella 10W-40.
Here in Spain we have Shell Rimula 10W-40, Rimula is Shell's HDEO line outside the USA.

Indeed...Shell Rimula R6 (M or ML)....look at its PDS...with cst of 13.1 @100C it is almost 10w30 in grade...

I would use either "your" Rotella in 5w40 /15w40 or 10w30 flavour...

Does an HD around you have Rotella 10w40 in stock?

My bad, sorry. I didn't notice it's discontinued. You can buy in Amazon though...

What application (vehicle/engine) calls for 10W-40 ONLY?
Where do you live? (what weather conditions year-round)
Do you use Rotella T4, T5 or T6?
Need more info to offer advice suggestion ...
