Selling my wife's car. 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 ~67k miles always did oil at 7500. It has some paint issues on the front, and some other minor issues in the interior, some delam of the rear tint,
I think the drivers mirror needs the motor gear fixed. I'll ask my wife if she can remember anything else when she gets home.
15k is what the dealer offered, so I will offer that to bitog I think online it comes in closer to 20. Has sunroof and most options except heads up display

I good detailer can take those scratches and bumps out for a $100-200. A good wash, claybar cleaning, touchup paint, sand flat and buff out it they will be barely noticable. Even a good firm rubbing with Meguiars scratch-X 2.0 would lighten them out substantially.

I always DIY fix anything a potential customer would notice on inspection so I don't have to explain anything about the car. it's 100% clean and 100% working.

Whatever the dealer is offering you is a massive discount off of what they can turn right around and sell it for. They would probably list it for $22-25K and let people talk them down to 20-21k.

Take a look at carmax selling prices for a good guide on what the market is for the car. you can get a number between the carmax (non negotiable) price and 15K and pocket the difference.

I know you were posting for sale and not asking advice but these are my 2 cents anyway. smile

Good luck!

Yup, I am just cleaning out my stuff. I tend to be a hoarder and have to go through this process sometimes

A co-worker had a 2016 with the 5.0. Really nice car.
At $15K that would be worth a trip to Florida IMO.
Too bad I don't have the cash or need for it.

All dealers are like this. It's horrible... but it is what it is.

The best anyone can hope for at trade in time is high blue book. Yes, there are very rare exceptions. They thing is the OP's car is not in a condition that warrants a high book trade in-according to the details he mentioned.

I'm not "blue booking" the car. So it's hard to know if it's the dealer or the OP who has "wishful thinking". But it definitely doesn't warrant high book.

I have no illusions about this car. It's a Hyundai that's used and it has some paint issues. If we had completed the deal at the place that offered 15 I would have took it. I still think it would make someone a great car at a good price. It has tons of life left and a nice interior
