Pit road chart. 42 car had issues when Race Control asked if the drivers were ready to participate, they had issues with getting the window net tightened. They are extra tight at Talladega due to the aero advantage.

Paul Menard is starting the race, but has neck pain due to a disc issue. They have Matt Crafton ready as a relief driver and he will most likely get in at the first caution.

Ryan Blaney spins getting onto pit road for his 1st stop.
No damage, except to his ego.

Must be why he's retiring?

They said he started feeling it this week.

Lap 51, the 20 car has a tire going down, but was able to get to pit lane. Race control is checking with the spotter stations for rain.
