Is there any benefit to mixing Mopar MS-9224 or Valvoline Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid mixed with BG Syncro Shift II Synthetic for a Jeep Wrangler JK using NSG 370 6 speed manual transmission, versus running straight BG Syncro Shift II Synthetic?

Purchased my Jeep JK new in 2013. One week ago I changed 6sd manual transmission fluid at 85,000 mile, using Valvoline SYNCHROMESH MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID.

I haven't been happy with gear 1 and 2 while using Mopar MS-9224 or Valvoline Synchromesh.

I've never heard of BG. I did'nt see a product data sheet on their site, either. Is it synchromesh? Does it meet the specs for the 370? If so, then maybe run it straight without mixing.

Have you tried Pennzoil Synchromesh? I'm currently running Valvoline in mine and it seemed a bit smoother than the Mopar, but it may just ben in my head.

I have not tried Pennzoil Synchromesh, but have considered trying it.

Here's a link to BG Syncro Shift II

BG Syncro Shift appears to be lighter than Mopar, Pennzoil, and Valvoline Synchromeshs. I copied the following from another thread on this forum.

That BG is lighter, but it looks very close. I'd contact the company and ask if they recommend it for the NSG 370 and see what they say. Might be worth a try. If you give it a go, let us know how it feels.
