I didnt say it wasnt a nice thing to do.. just that I doubted anyone would take you up on it..
I have 5 hitch balls in my garage. from various cars. 3 that are useless to me currently.

List it on Ebay for $10 shipped. Somebody living far from a store would buy it.

Around here we'd just leave it at the transfer station, many of them have last chance tables.

I have a friend who keeps a table at a fleamarket and likes to flip stuff. Once in a while I'll give him a box of goodies that I can't bring myself to toss, yet I know it might be worth a buck or two to someone--not worth my time to chase that buck, and I got my monies worth already, so I'll give it to someone happy to get it.

Where in NY are you approximately? If you're on my common North-South route (or nearby) I'd swing by and get it.

I go up the Throughway from Mahwah, NJ - Suffern, NY. Go up to Albany and continue to the Adirondacks.

You probably live in Buffalo. FYI: 2" is U-Haul's size in No America and why I'd want it.

Also, I'm in NYC all the time. G&K
