Dubious...I think it would be more informative to list the specs it doesn't claim to cover. Or maybe that list is length zero...

There's a typo on the bottle. Z-1 and DW-1 are Honda specs, not Toyota.

Another data point: The label on the corporate website is not the same as the label on the amazon listing.

It's not for nothing that the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none" has hung around all these years.

I haven't heard of it? What's the best price for it? I'm seeing ~$32/gal on Amazon. MaxLife Full Synthetic ~$18/gal everyday price.

I did smile reading the one spec listing, "Premium Honda Z-1"......An oxymoron if there ever was.

Exactly. Neither one has manufacturer approvals, and one is from a major oil company. Which one is a better bet?

Unless I'm missing something, it claims Kia but not Hyundai coverage. Why pay more than Maxlife for this?

But MaxLife is a Jack of all trades that I intend on using in my Soul.

Also got a kick out of the spelling of Nissan/Infinity, not sure if it will hold up to a VQ30DDTT but it is a Buzz Lightyear approved oil apparently.

Yes, yes, if you guys remember there was a similar posting about this Triax maybe a year or so ago with a member who claimed the Triax was the best thing since sliced bread and controlled fire. There was a very similar thread comparing this to MaxLife and the consensus came back almost identical.

If you're going to use a one-size-fits-all fluid, use the known brand that's been around for a long time with a successful, known, proveable record.

I use Amsoil ATF and while its a multi vehicle it has a couple of sizes not just one. My pickup uses the fuel efficient and my 2001 Jeep used the multi vehicle. They also have CVT. I am using up the Amsoil multi vehicle ATF I had leftover from Jeep in the truck's transfer case.

I agree, if you want to use a multi vehicle ATF get a respected name brand like Amsoil or Redline or Mobil 1 (others I am sure). Triax sounds like the windshield wiper company (Trico).

The specs on it look okay. It's a little thick to be a dexron vi, a little thin to be atf+4, and it has a relatively high viscosity index. A low pour point and great Brookfield numbers. If Valvoline made this product it would be worshipped by the masses.

Not at~$35/gal it wouldn't. Of course, as opposed to "Triax Global" having the name Valvoline (or any major), a known quantity would be worth something. However, since ML has the name and the current ~$18/gal, best of both.

I have had this ATF in the '99 Land Cruiser for the last 15,000 miles. 229k miles on the original A343F specifying Dexron II. I selected this fluid because it meets DII and the much higher spec TES-295. This fluid has been proven to be perfectly serviceable thus far.
