What are some good options for SN+ 40wt oils?

I’ve found 2 so far; cam2 5w40 SN+ and Amsoil SS 0w40 SN+

Any other good 40wt options for LSPI protection?

Yes! I forgot about this one.

I believe they also have a 5w30 SN+ with a 3.5HTHS as well? Seems harder to find, however

New formulation of Pennzoil Plat Euro is SN+.

https://shell-livedocs.com/data/published/en/3c287a5e-728b-4e26-9ec3-4d5493b711a4.pdf

It is also a full SAPS A3/B4, so should have good protection.

Looking at the UOAs there are oils that have the additive levels that look like SN+ oils here for example

Next to MB229.5, Porsche A40, LL01, SN+ is irrelevant. But, it is there for crowd that think that is what matters.

It’s likely relevant for the crown that has very small T-GDI Engines like the Hyundai 1.6T that allows a 5w40 to be used, but could be susceptible to LSPI.

Most all the 0w40 Euro oils have high Ca Content, so options on a 40wt are limited for API LSPI protection.

No truly. A lot of, but not "most". No more.
And, Ca is not alone aliable for LSPI, but anyway you can balance lspi-danger with moly and magnesium. You must not go with calcium under 2000. Unless you are randy for margin and you choose feeble addpack.

For best results of course, dont buy banana-cars, with banana-engines, in whichsoever you must afterwards put banana-oils.
That's a piece of cake.

Chevron Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 is SN rated with an HTHS of 3.5.

As such, it is one of the few SN-rated 5W-30 oils with such a high HTHS.

It is available on Amazon in gallon jugs.

Also, Chevron Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 is also a SN PLUS oil now.
Still has an HTHS of 3.5.

Without having an oil analysis before installing an oil how do we really know. Faith, past history, prejudice?

No, specifications and approvals.

What would the VOA tell you beyond that?
