I been using Castro pyroplex blue for years. While it is an excellent grease for kingpins, it may not be perfect for lubing truck brake slack adjusters and brake camshaft bushings. Every time I lube the truck the old grease come out like chocolate cream. I need something with better rust protection and long life. I usually only grease these brake components once a year. With most of my trips in NY NJ area so the winter temp is not extremely cold but still they use a lot of salt on the roadway.

I have narrowed down my search to these three. All are supposed to be calcium sulfonate based or OBCS (is this the same thing?).
Lucas marine grease
WD-40® Specialist® True Multi-Purpose Grease
Mobil Centaur XHP 462
Or anything that I can obtain on the web.

What I mostly looking for are rust and water protection in winter. Also the grease won't freeze in freezing temperature with even with water contamination.

Here's some other calcium sulfonate greases that is worth considering.
TOTAL ceran series
BP energrease MP-MG 2
Cat desert gold with moly

, maybe cat have more CS grease products.?
Amsoil (I can't remember the product name)

An alternative to calcium sulfonate could be regular calcium soap, calcium complex or aluminium soap...

Personally I would not buy the wd40 grease. The base oil viscosity is very low.!!

The first two I don't think I can obtain easily in the states, probably some euro spec stuffs that don't sell here.
While cat desert gold is a domestic grease. the automatic brake slack adjusters can't use grease with moly since it may cause slippage of internal one way clutch according to haldex, which made them. I forgot to mention this. Sorry. And it looks like most other cat grease use at least 5% of moly. I probably will look into amsoil grease if they are not too expensive. Thanks for the suggestion.

$30 for a case of ten. That is so cheap. Make me wondering what condition will the amazon warehouse return deal be like? I probably can still use it without a grease gun on fifth wheel plate if some of the tubes are smashed and flatten.

Castrol pyroplex blue is blue as well. Lol.

The only chevron grease that is calcium based is texclad 2, which contains moly and graphite. I can't use moly grease in slack adjusters.

Meritor, who made the trailer axle bushings and trailer slack adjusters, recommends calcium sulfonate complex grease over clay based synthetic (for low temp) over lithium based grease. Their calcium sulfonate grease spec O-704 calls for Tek-678, which no one sells. And I don't want mix clay based grease with lithium grease that is already in the system. Their clay based spec O-645 is mobiltemp shc 32.

Wear protection is least of my concern over rust and water protection for brake adjusters and s cam bushings. Calcium sulfonate grease looks like the best choice.

I ordered the liquid wrench marine grease from the $30 amazon warehouse deal. I probably will use it this winter. Only time will tell if I will see more of the chocolate color grease next year.

I just received the amazon warehouse deal order of the liquid wrench marine grease. Every tube is in good condition. I was a little surprised by the red color. I always thought marine grease is supposed to be blue or green. And every single tube is upside down in the box. The plastic cap side sitting on the bottom and the pull tab side on top. No oil leeching out from the cap however. So far so good.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone returned it because it was red

hopefully it works good for your application
